Specna Arms M249 PARA SA-249 CORE AEG machine gun

The Specna Arms M249 PARA SA-249 CORE is an electric-powered machine gun that offers a lightweight design, easy handling, and stable performance at an affordable price. The Para version is modeled after the M249 Para machine gun used by the United States Armed Forces, known for its telescopic stock and compact overall dimensions. Weighing in at around 5 kg, the gun is significantly lighter than its full-metal counterparts, making it a nimble alternative to a fire support weapon that, when combined with a smaller 1500-round box magazine or a traditional AR-15/M4 magazine, could be suitable for CQB games.

The SA-249 PARA model has a polymer frame, fore-end, cover, box magazine and pistol grip. Metal is used in key load-bearing parts such as the outer barrel, butt mounting points, flame arrester, barrel locking mechanisms and bipod. Steel components can be found in the bipod, carrying handle, trigger guard structures and mounting pins, among others. A Picatinny rail located on the top surface of the cover allows for direct mounting of optics without additional rails.

The included 2500-round box magazine operates on two AA batteries and feeds its rounds automatically. The weapon can also use AR-15/M4 STANAG magazines. The metal rotary hop-up unit provides precise adjustment.

Internally, the SA-249 PARA CORE uses an M249-style all-metal gear box with an M120 spring, 8mm ball bearings, a ball-bearing spring guide, and steel gears. The mechanics are designed for long bursts of fire and reliable operation in a basic configuration. The ESA™ quick spring change system allows for spring changes in seconds via the butt hinge mechanism — without dismantling the gear box.
