The Specna Arms SA-S03 CORE with Bipod and Scope is a spring-loaded sniper rifle replica modeled after the US Marine Corps M40A5 rifle. Three magazines, a bipod, and a 3-9x40 scope make the package practically ready to play. The replica is well suited as both a first bolt-action rifle and a tuning platform for a player who wants to build their rifle to be even more powerful.
The stock of the SA-S03 CORE replica is made of durable matte polymer, and the receiver and outer barrel are made of metal. The stock has QD sling loops on both sides, both front and rear, and the front of the stock also has a traditional sling loop to which a Harris-type crotch rest can be attached. The underside of the stock, in the front, also has a piece of Picatinny rail for a bipod or other accessories. There is a Picatinny rail for scopes on top of the receiver, and an additional rail running over the barrel allows for the attachment of accessories as in the original.
The butt cheekpiece is height-adjustable without tools, so it is easy to adjust the sight line to suit your own eye. The replica's bolt mechanism is simple and reliable – the weapon is loaded by pulling the bolt back and pushing it back forward. Hop-up is easily adjusted using the adjuster on the side of the frame. Internally, the SA-S03 CORE is compatible with VSR-10 tuning parts, except for the hop-up chamber, cylinder head and magazine, which opens up a lot of possibilities for tuning.

About the real M40 sniper rifle
The M40 sniper rifle is the classic sniper rifle of the United States Marine Corps (USMC), based on the Remington 700 series of hunting rifles. Each rifle begins life as a civilian model and is modified by Marine gunsmiths to be suitable for military use.
The M40 series was introduced during the Vietnam War in 1966 and has been developed several times – the M40, M40A1, M40A3 and M40A5 versions. The M40A3 introduced a better barrel, a more adjustable McMillan stock, a quick-release sling, a Harris fork rest and more modern sight options. The M40A3 and later the M40A5 have seen extensive operational use in conflicts in the 2000s and 2010s, and the rifle has also been featured in numerous films and TV series. Although the range of the 7.62×51 NATO cartridge is not ideal in all conditions, the USMC has stuck with the M40 series and invested primarily in sniper training – “Marines make do”.
