Action Air is the airsoft-based version of IPSC practical shooting, where competitors engage dynamic stages using 6 mm BB pistols. The sport combines speed, accuracy and efficient movement – delivering realistic firearms-style training without live ammunition. It is widely used both as a competitive discipline and as a cost-effective training method for practical shooting skills.

In Action Air, shooters complete pre-designed stages featuring cardboard and steel targets placed at varying distances. The timer starts on the signal and stops on the final shot. Scoring is based on points divided by time, meaning both accuracy and speed matter. Strong stage planning, smooth reloads and controlled trigger work are essential for consistent performance.

Most competitors use gas blowback (GBB) pistols, which provide realistic slide movement and trigger feel. Equipment divisions follow IPSC principles, and safe gun handling is strictly enforced. The sport can be practiced indoors or outdoors, making it accessible year-round.
