Leather shoe care instructions:

Leather is an excellent natural material that requires regular care to maintain its properties. After each use, it is a good idea to remove the laces and insoles and open the shoe to allow it to breathe.

Purifying:

Brush loose dirt and dust from the shoes with a soft brush.
Stubborn dirt is best removed with lukewarm water and a brush.
If necessary, use gentle cleaning agents (for example, Heyn products).

Impregnation and restoration of waterproofing:

After washing, the pores in damp leather are open, so the impregnation agent is absorbed best.
Use a waterproofing agent suitable for the shoe material, such as LOWA Waterstop Eco, which protects against water without reducing breathability.

Care and protection:

The natural oils in the leather are reduced with use and washing. Treat especially wet shoes regularly with a water-based conditioner (e.g. LOWA Active Creme).
Pay special attention to the front of the instep and other prone areas.

Dry:

Let the shoes dry naturally – avoid direct sunlight and heating devices.
Crumpled newspaper inside the shoes will absorb moisture and help maintain their shape. Replace the paper as needed until the shoes are completely dry.
