3M Combat Arms Earplugs 4.1

3M Combat Arms Re-usable Earplugs (CAE) Version 4.1 hearing protectors. The earplugs protect your hearing from continuous harmful noise and effectively attenuate sudden, spike-like sounds (shooting). The protectors have two different modes, Open and Closed. The operating modes are selected with a simple rocker switch (Open - CAE; Closed - 3M).

In the open mode, the user can observe their surroundings more effectively. The protectors have a specially designed acoustic filter that allows low-frequency sounds to pass through without much attenuation, but is effective against sound signals above 110 dB. This is called Open Mode.

In Closed Mode, the protectors function as normal earplugs, effectively blocking various sounds from passing through.

The guards stay securely in place with a separate soft mounting arm. The guards are easy to keep clean.
