Berghaus Crusader 90 + 20 Backpack - Surplus - Olive Green

The Berghaus Crusader 90 + 20 is one of the world's best-known large military backpacks. Originally developed for extended military operations where equipment must be carried for days or even weeks at a time, it has earned an outstanding reputation for its carrying comfort, exceptional durability and versatile modular design. Thanks to its MMPS (Multi Mission Pack System), the Crusader is also a popular choice among trekkers, bushcraft enthusiasts, hunters and reservists.

The backpack offers a total capacity of approximately 110 litres. In addition to the 90-litre main compartment, it features two removable side pockets with a capacity of approximately 10 litres each. These side pockets can be detached using zippers and combined into a separate 20-litre daypack, making the MMPS system highly versatile for day hikes or shorter excursions from a base camp.

The spacious main compartment features a traditional top-loading design with a snow collar and can also be accessed through a separate lower compartment, allowing quick access to a sleeping bag or other gear. Long side zippers provide convenient access to the main compartment without the need to unpack the entire backpack.

Carrying comfort is provided by Berghaus' renowned Cyclops II carrying system, featuring an adjustable back length, an internal aluminium frame, padded shoulder straps and a wide padded hip belt. The system distributes heavy loads efficiently, making long-distance carrying considerably more comfortable.

Constructed from highly durable Cordura/Ardura nylon, the Crusader is designed to withstand demanding outdoor use in a wide range of conditions. Front attachment webbing, compression straps and multiple external attachment points allow additional equipment, skis, trekking poles or an ice axe to be securely carried outside the pack. The backpack is also hydration system compatible.

This is an original military surplus backpack. Every backpack has been inspected and is fully serviceable, but as a used surplus item it may show signs of previous use, fading, name markings, minor repairs or other cosmetic wear. Some examples may have damaged or cracked plastic reinforcement panels inside the side pockets, which generally do not affect the overall functionality of the backpack.
