The pouch is designed for an M16 magazine, but in practice it will fit any assault rifle magazine of the same size. For shorter magazines, it is worth putting some kind of riser on the bottom of the pouch. Rifle caliber magazines (G3, FAL, M14, etc.) do not fit in this pouch, but have their own model. G36 magazines do not fit in the pouch.

The pouch is MOLLE compatible, meaning it has four long belt loops on the back that allow you to attach the pouch to any MOLLE compatible platform, as well as almost all standard combat belts.
