This combat vest is a so-called TAC-1 style combat vest, i.e. a sturdy, belt-supporting vest that covers the entire midsection and has combat equipment pockets in the front. It can replace a test harness or can be used directly as is. Vests of this type were first used in the 1980s, and since the basic model has been good, it has not needed to be changed - only slightly improved based on practical experience. The Elite Tactical Vest represents the absolute top of this vest model at an affordable price.
The magazine pockets are of a traditional design. They can easily hold one .223 30-round magazine per pocket, or two with reasonable force. Over time, inserting the magazines becomes easier as the material molds to fit. In addition, most submachine gun magazines, Kalashnikov magazines, and rifle caliber magazines (FAL, G3, M14) will fit. Of course, only one of the last two can fit per pocket. The flaps that close the pocket can be adjusted to different lengths or removed completely, so almost any magazine will fit in the pocket. Overlong magazines, such as P90 and UMP, will not fit in the vest.
Most pistols can also be stored in magazine pockets.
Above the magazine pocket are two surprisingly spacious accessory pockets, with flaps with Velcro for attaching badges.
The back of the vest has three rows of fasteners - the top ones are PALS loops with a velcro backing, the latter of which can be used to attach badges. The lower ones also have larger ALICE-compatible attachment loops on the back. The ALICE pockets also fit PALS, but they swing less on their own loops.
The vest has plenty of adjustment options. The adjustment is intelligent and stepless - there are three adjustment straps on each side, which can be used to adjust the size of the vest. The shoulder flaps are closed with Velcro, which can be used to shorten the vest. The vest adjusts well for users of various sizes.
The vest has a convenient carrying handle on the back. There are faux leather pieces on each shoulder that act as an excellent anti-slip for the butt of the gun. The anti-slip pads also have pieces of rubber tubing on the sides to ensure that the gun does not slip past the shoulder.
The bottom of the vest is made of mesh and the fabric parts are made of thick synthetic fiber material. The vest is sewn together extremely well, and offers the best price-quality ratio.
The vest is suitable for a 160cm boy and a big man. A splinter vest can also fit under the vest. The maximum possible waist circumference with the vest is 135cm.
