The Cyma CGS Colt M733 Commando is a gas-powered GBBR rifle that replicates the compact CAR-15 series carbine from the 1980s.

Developed in cooperation between CYMA and CyberGun under an official Colt license, the rifle features authentic receiver markings and a faithful reproduction of the original design. It is part of the Lightning Series, utilizing a lightweight aluminum bolt carrier and an optimized recoil system to deliver fast cycling and responsive operation. At its core is the CYMA CGS gas system, developed with T8 and based on the TM MWS platform, offering realistic blowback and strong compatibility with aftermarket upgrade parts.

The construction combines an aluminum receiver with polymer external components and steel parts in high-wear areas. The rifle features a classic carry handle upper with an integrated rear sight, a CAR-15 style handguard, and a two-position adjustable stock mounted on a metal buffer tube. The short 11.5” outer barrel keeps the platform compact and highly maneuverable, making it especially well-suited for CQB environments.

Internally, the rifle includes an adjustable trigger system and multiple steel components such as the trigger group, hammer, bolt catch, and magazine release, improving durability under regular use. The lightweight bolt carrier reduces cycle time and enhances recoil response.

The Colt M733 is one of the most recognizable variants of the CAR-15 family, widely used by special forces and law enforcement units. It also gained iconic status through its appearance in the film Heat (1995).
