Direct Action Balaclava FR - Polartec Power Dry FR

The Direct Action Balaclava FR is a flame-resistant balaclava that protects the face and neck from short-term flame exposure and thermal radiation. It is designed for professional use such as military and rescue operations, but also works equally well in demanding training when a flame-resistant and comfortable base layer solution is needed with a helmet and goggles.

The balaclava is made of Polartec® Power Dry® FR fabric (170 g/m²), which is naturally flame retardant and at the same time lightweight, flexible and breathable. The material blend (68% modacrylic, 29% viscose, 3% elastane) provides a close fit without a constricting feeling and wicks moisture away from the skin. The smooth seams reduce chafing and make the beanie comfortable to wear even for long periods, for example under a helmet or with tight-fitting protective equipment.

The face opening is sized to work well with most ballistic goggles and goggle attachment systems. The one-size-fits-all design fits most users, and the lightweight 42 gram weight makes it an unobtrusive piece of gear.
