The Emerson Easy Chest Rig is designed for active use where lightness, functionality and ease of use are paramount. The vest has four open magazine pockets. The pockets are well suited for carrying M4 or AK magazines. In addition, the vest has two flapped accessory pockets.

Elastic loops on the shoulder pads allow for hydration bladder hoses or headphone cables to be routed through, while MOLLE attachment points on both sides of the front panel allow for the attachment of additional pockets or equipment.
