EpeS AEG Cylinder Head V2/3 - Extra Long

The EpeS AEG Cylinder Head V2/3 Mk.III Extra Long is a premium cylinder head designed specifically for long-bore (over 32mm) assemblies such as the CZ BREN ASG. With a long bore tube and improved bore plate movement, this cylinder head allows for a tighter seal between the bore and the hop-up rubber, improving feed reliability and reducing the risk of “mid cap” syndrome.

The Mk.III Extra Long combines several practical improvements, including an extended nozzle guide rod optimized for nozzles over 32 mm long, a standard 5.35 mm nozzle diameter (optional Extra Fit 5.40 mm, which reduces side-to-side wobble), and an extended nozzle plate travel. The longer travel allows for the use of up to 1 mm longer nozzles, which improves the nozzle's fit with the hop-up rubber lip while reducing feeding problems in awkward configurations.

The cylinder head features a unique, adjustable mounting solution for the front of the gearbox. Two M3 threaded mounting screws on the front provide a tight fit on most V2 and V3 gearboxes (default position optimized for RetroArms gearboxes). This prevents the cylinder head from being loosely mounted, which can cause the nozzle to wobble, resulting in performance variations and possible damage.

The shock pad is made of a selectable PU rubber compound (70 / 80 / 90 Shore) and its shock surface is maximized to 3 mm thick. The hardness choices are sized for different spring strengths: 70 sh is suitable for a maximum of SP130 springs, 80 sh for a maximum of SP160 and 90 sh for SP170 and harder springs. In high-rate weapons that shoot long series (e.g. 100+ bullets), a shock pad one degree softer than the one mentioned above is often recommended. If desired, the cylinder head can also be selected without a shock pad, in which case other PU pad options or Sorbopad solutions can be used.

The material and surface treatment choices are designed for durability and smooth operation: EN AW-7075-T6 duralumin and H+PTFE surface treatment provide excellent sliding properties and high wear resistance. The O-rings are made of NBR material (70 sh).
