GATE ASTER V3 Basic drop-in MOSFET/microcontroller unit
GATE's ASTER™ is a microcontroller unit similar to the familiar TITAN MOSFET unit, but in practice it is not left behind in terms of features, especially in terms of price-performance ratio. The BASIC Edition ASTER is a durable and sufficient unit for all conditions, but it is possible to upgrade it, so you can get almost all the same features as the TITAN unit.
The idea behind ASTER is that, like the TITAN controller, it replaces the normal trigger mechanism of the weapon, after which the operation of your weapon is handled by optical sensors instead of mechanical interlocking switches.
GATE gives these a two-year warranty! Please note that the warranty does not cover your own mistakes. So if you have any questions about the installation, it is always a good idea to contact the store/installer.
Features:
- Reverse polarity protection
- 315 settings for trigger sensitivity
- The device can be programmed either with a trigger or with the Gate Control Station app (Android, Windows, macOS and iOS)
- Programming via trigger is made easier by RGB LED
- No need to remove the mechanical safety catch
- Installation does not require any modification to the gearbox - at least not usually.
- The unit supports all types of strollers
- Supports Binary Trigger and AUG/Two-Stage modes
- Maximum rate of fire approximately 50 rounds per second
- Firmware can be updated online via the Gate Control Station
In the package:
- ASTER™ V3 Basic drop-in MOSFET/microcontroller unit
- Sleeve badge
- Instruction card about the features programmable via the trigger
- Installation kit
- Quickstart Guide
Note! If you are using the ASTER unit with a Gate Control Station, you will also need a USB-Link or Blu-Link.
Features programmable with the Basic version trigger:
The features programmable with the trigger can of course also be run via the Gate Control Station.
- Fire modes: SAFE – SEMI – AUTO, SAFE – SEMI – SEMI, SAFE – BINARY – AUTO and SAFE – SEMI – BURST. In addition, you can use one preset GCS setting!
- Burst fire: adjustable to continuous (i.e. the weapon fires the entire burst with a single trigger pull) or intermittent, where the burst continues as long as the trigger is held down or the number of shots is full. Alternatively, a mode preset via GCS is also available.
- Pre-tuning: On / Off
- Battery voltage protection: Off / Li-Po / Li-Fe
- Low voltage alarm: Off / 3.2 V / GCS setting
- Active brake: Auto / Off / GCS setting
- Diagnostics: the unit communicates primarily through vibrations emitted by the engine. The key to interpreting the vibrations can be found in the quick start guide. Fault codes can also be reset using the trigger. In addition, resetting to default settings and factory settings can be done using the trigger.
- Machine cycle detection is automatically turned on. This can also be turned off in GCS!
Features programmable with the Basic version Gate Control Station:
- Magazine size limitation: Off / 30 bullets. Similarly, the set can be limited to 30 bullets.
- Rate of fire control: six settings. The unit does the job by limiting the current reaching the motor after the first shot.
- Magazine change delay: off / 3 seconds
- Battery voltage protection: off / Li-Po / Li-Fe
- Low voltage alarm: off / 3.2 V / 3.4 V
- Active brake: AUTO / 0% – 20% – 40% – 60% – 80% – 100%
- Two-stage (aka AUG) trigger
- Ball counter: four users can be selected; latest, user 1, user 2 and factory.
- Diagnostics: fault codes, i.e. DTC codes, can naturally also be read via GCS.
- Machine cycle detection: on / off
Updates, notification settings and configuration packages can be installed via the Control Station. You can also upgrade the BASIC unit to the ADVANCED and EXPERT versions through this. The most important advantages of the ADVANCED version are statistics and ASTER World Ranking statistics.
The product has a one-year (2-year) manufacturer's warranty that covers defects and breakages resulting from normal use. The warranty does NOT cover defects or breakages resulting from installation errors or misuse. Warranty matters are handled directly with the manufacturer and instructions can be found on the manufacturer's website (GATE Warranty Form).
