The vest is MOLLE compatible, so you can attach a variety of different pockets to it. There are PALS slots on both the front and back, covering the entire surface of the vest.

The vest has slots for bulletproof plates in the front and back. The plates are not included with the vest.

The vest is equipped with a quick-release cable (actually only used in emergency situations: first aid, falling into the water, etc.). When pulling the cable, the different parts of the vest come apart and reassembling them requires more detailed familiarization with the vest.

The AAV FSBE vest was used by reconnaissance units of the United States Marine Corps (USMC), particularly in urban environments and for field operations. It was part of the original Full Spectrum Battle Equipment (FSBE) series, which was used particularly by Force Recon operators from 1996 until the early 2000s. The vest was valued for its modular design and adaptability, which allowed the addition of various modular pockets.
