The Nyflex Expedition snowshoe features a patented Energy Saver pivot bar. This makes the snowshoe extremely stiff laterally and prevents the foot from twisting. The snowshoe is designed so that the back of the shoe never lifts off the ground, which stabilizes and eases movement.

The aluminum crampon on the front makes it easier to move in hilly terrain. The teflon coating on the crampon prevents snow from sticking and accumulating on it. The grip-enhancing crampons on the back of the snowshoe are made of stainless steel. Moving uphill is made easier with a folding crampon under the foot, which also distributes weight to the back of the shoe, improving grip and making it easier to climb the slope.

The load capacity of these 8 x 28 inch snowshoes in deep snow is approximately 27-68 kg and in heavier snow and on trails approximately 27-105 kg.
