Helikon-Tex Ambush Backpack - Field (NIR/IRR) - PL Woodland

Helikon-Tex Ambush is a 22-liter tactical backpack with an NIR/IRR feature. The Field model in PL Woodland camouflage reduces the contrast of the wearer's silhouette when viewed through night vision devices.

All visible fabrics and components of the Field models are selected to absorb, reflect, and transmit near-infrared radiation in a way that closely resembles the natural environment, in this case woodland terrain. The manufacturer tests the materials both in the laboratory with a spectrophotometer and in the field with analog night-vision devices.

The backpack withstands frequent packing, gear transport, and contact with the ground. Cordura® 500D fabric increases resistance to abrasion and damage, and the DWR coating reduces absorption and makes cleaning easier. The zippers are YKK® and the plastic components are Woojin, which work reliably even under heavy loads and in changing temperatures.

The carrying system is stable: adjustable quick-release shoulder straps fit your body shape and clothing layers, the sternum strap stabilizes the load while moving, and the detachable hip belt improves weight distribution with a heavier load. The top pocket is lined with velour for safe carrying of optics or night vision. The lower front pocket has compartments for small pieces of equipment, and the side pockets fit a water bottle or magazines.

MOLLE/PALS-compatible webbing above the side pockets allows the attachment of additional pouches, cargo pockets, or medical modules. The beavertail compression panel carries a helmet, camouflage net, or extra clothing, and can be rolled up and stored in the lower flat compartment when not in use. The main compartment has space for a hydration bladder. The backpack is part of the modular Helikon-Tex Guardian system and has a hook-and-loop panel for personalization.
