Helikon-Tex Guardian Dangler - Field (NIR/IRR) - PL Woodland

The Helikon-Tex Guardian Dangler - Field (NIR/IRR) is a drop-down pouch for the Guardian Plate Carrier with NIR/IRR functionality for reduced contrast under night vision. It comes in PL Woodland camouflage.

The Dangler mounts under the front flap of the plate carrier using a removable hook-and-loop panel. Thanks to its central position, it stays aligned with the body and does not disturb the balance of the gear. It carries additional equipment such as a medical kit or a multitool, and increases the space for equipment without altering the vest's configuration.

The pouch withstands frequent packing, carrying heavy gear and contact with the ground. It is made from Cordura® 500D with a DWR coating that limits moisture absorption and makes cleaning easier. The zippers are YKK® and the components Woojin®.

A double-sided zipper gives quick access to the contents from both sides, and the integrated organizer keeps items in order. MOLLE/PALS compatible webbing allows you to attach an additional pouch or mount the Dangler to a larger system. After attaching a waist strap, the Dangler can also function as a standalone waist bag.

Field products in PL Woodland provide NIR (Near Infrared) functionality, also referred to as IRR (Infrared Reflective). According to the manufacturer, the materials help reduce the contrast of the wearer's silhouette when viewed through devices operating in the near-infrared spectrum. All visible fabrics and components are selected to absorb, reflect and transmit radiation in a way that closely resembles the natural environment, in this case woodland terrain. The materials are tested in the laboratory and in the field using a spectrophotometer and analog night-vision devices.
