Helikon-Tex Guardian Kangaroo Flap - Field (NIR/IRR) - PL Woodland

The Helikon-Tex Guardian Kangaroo Flap - Field (NIR/IRR) is a front panel for carrying tactical accessories. It is designed for the Guardian Plate Carrier and comes in PL Woodland camouflage with NIR/IRR properties.

According to the manufacturer, the panel attaches to the vest using two buckles and hook & loop fasteners. It features a large box pocket with an internal hook & loop, allowing the installation of a Law Enforcement Insert as well as inserts from the Competition system. The large, soft hook & loop surface on the panel allows the attachment of the Law Enforcement Insert flaps and enables direct fastening of the cummerbund to the flap, eliminating the need for constant unfastening.

Field products in PL Woodland provide NIR (Near Infrared) functionality, also referred to as IRR (Infrared Reflective). According to the manufacturer, the materials help reduce the contrast of the wearer's silhouette when viewed through devices operating in the near-infrared spectrum. All visible fabrics and components are selected to absorb, reflect and transmit radiation in a way that closely resembles the natural environment, in this case woodland terrain. The materials are tested in the laboratory and in the field using a spectrophotometer and analog night-vision devices.
