Helikon-Tex Map Case - Field (NIR/IRR) - PL Woodland

The Helikon-Tex Map Case - Field (NIR/IRR) is a map case that protects your map from dirt and creasing on hikes and outdoor trips. It comes in PL Woodland camouflage with NIR/IRR properties.

The case is made of tough Cordura® 500D IRR fabric (100% nylon, 225 g/m²), which resists abrasion and intensive use. The map is carried in a transparent, zippered internal pocket. On the outside there are two snap-closed pockets for small items and two open-top pockets for quick access to essential gear. Loops hold a pen, marker or a small flashlight. When not in use the case can be folded in half and secured with a snap button.

Please note: the Map Case is not waterproof and will not fully protect your map from moisture.

Field products in PL Woodland provide NIR (Near Infrared) functionality, also referred to as IRR (Infrared Reflective). According to the manufacturer, the materials help reduce the contrast of the wearer's silhouette when viewed through devices operating in the near-infrared spectrum. All visible fabrics and components are selected to absorb, reflect and transmit radiation in a way that closely resembles the natural environment, in this case woodland terrain. The materials are tested in the laboratory and in the field using a spectrophotometer and analog night-vision devices.
