Helikon-Tex MBDU Pants - Field (NIR/IRR) - PL Woodland

The Helikon-Tex MBDU Pants – Field (NIR/IRR) are Modern Battle Dress Uniform pants designed for challenges where durability and ergonomics matter. The NIR/IRR feature effectively masks the wearer on night vision.

Field products in PL Woodland camouflage provide NIR (Near Infrared) functionality, also referred to as IRR (Infrared Reflective). The materials used help reduce the contrast of the wearer's silhouette when viewed through devices operating in the near-infrared spectrum. All visible fabrics and components are selected to absorb, reflect and transmit radiation in a way that closely resembles the natural environment, woodland terrain. Each material is tested under both laboratory and field conditions using a spectrophotometer and analog night-vision devices.

NyCo Ripstop is a fabric proven in combat operations. It combines mechanical durability with good breathability: nylon increases resistance to abrasion and tearing, while cotton improves wearing comfort during prolonged operations. The ripstop weave reinforces the fabric structure so that any potential damage does not spread, which significantly increases the product's durability.

VersaStretch inserts in the crotch and rear yoke enhance mobility during dynamic position changes. The breathable structure supports temperature regulation in critical areas.

To provide immediate access to gear, the pants have 8 pockets: two hip pockets with reinforced edges for carrying a knife, multitool or clip-mounted tools; two reinforced rear pockets that can accommodate rifle magazines or larger EDC items; two spacious cargo pockets on the thighs secured with Canadian buttons, easy to operate even when wearing gloves; and two hook-and-loop-secured calf pockets, ideal for an individual first-aid dressing or medical equipment.

Waist adjustment allows for precise fit and stabilizes the pants under load. Wide belt loops (belts up to 50 mm) with auxiliary front loops allow you to secure small gear with a carabiner or cord. Drawcords at the leg cuffs let you adjust the pants to footwear and terrain conditions. Reinforced knees increase durability during frequent kneeling and movement on difficult terrain, and there is space for knee pads.

The MBDU pants are an integral component of the Modern Battle Dress Uniform system. Consistency in cut, materials and functionality allows them to be used effectively both on their own and in combination with other elements of the MBDU uniform.
