Helikon-Tex MBDU Shirt - Field (NIR/IRR) - PL Woodland

The Helikon-Tex MBDU Shirt – Field (NIR/IRR) is a modern field shirt from Helikon-Tex's Modern Battle Dress Uniform series, designed for tactical use, law enforcement duties and field conditions that require durability, functionality and good freedom of movement. The NIR/IRR feature effectively masks the wearer on night vision.

Field products in PL Woodland camouflage provide NIR (Near Infrared) functionality, also referred to as IRR (Infrared Reflective). The materials used help reduce the contrast of the wearer's silhouette when viewed through devices operating in the near-infrared spectrum. All visible fabrics and components are selected to absorb, reflect and transmit radiation in a way that closely resembles the natural environment, woodland terrain. Each material is tested under both laboratory and field conditions using a spectrophotometer and analog night-vision devices.

The shirt is made of durable NyCo Ripstop material (50% nylon, 50% cotton), which offers excellent abrasion resistance and prevents tears from spreading. The elastic VersaStretch® fabric used in the side panels increases freedom of movement and improves comfort, for example during active movement or with protective equipment.

The MBDU shirt features four zippered pockets, two on the chest and two on the shoulders, that provide secure storage for essential gear. Mesh panels under the arms improve ventilation and help keep you comfortable even during intense activity. Hook-and-loop panels on the shoulders and above the chest pockets allow for the attachment of badges, name tags or flags. The cuffs are adjustable with hook-and-loop fastening, and the zippers are high-quality YKK® zippers.

The shirt has reinforced elbows and pockets for Low Profile protective panels. The MBDU shirt is part of the Modern Battle Dress Uniform system, so it can be worn on its own or together with the MBDU pants.
