The Helikon-Tex Tracer Anorak Jacket – Field (NIR/IRR) is a tactical jacket with an NIR/IRR feature that provides effective camouflage under night vision.

Field products in PL Woodland camouflage provide NIR (Near Infrared) functionality, also referred to as IRR (Infrared Reflective). The materials used help reduce the contrast of the wearer's silhouette when viewed through devices operating in the near-infrared spectrum. All visible fabrics and components are selected to absorb, reflect and transmit radiation in a way that closely resembles the natural environment, woodland terrain. Each material is tested under both laboratory and field conditions using a spectrophotometer and analog night-vision devices.

PolyCotton Stretch Ripstop combines durability with mobility in the field. This durable fabric combines abrasion resistance with the flexibility needed for on-the-go work. The ripstop weave limits the spread of damage, and the added stretch improves comfort while walking and working with equipment.

The Tracer Anorak performs well both as a standalone jacket and as part of a layered system with insulation worn underneath. Thanks to its loose, oversized cut, you can easily fit an additional insulating layer, such as a tactical fleece, underneath to adapt the anorak to colder conditions. It is designed as a unisex tactical jacket with a loose fit and a universal cut; multiple adjustment points let you tailor it precisely to your body shape and the layers worn underneath. Sizes in the size chart correspond to men's sizing. For women, we recommend choosing one size smaller than usual (e.g., women's M = men's S).

Waist adjustment lets you tailor the jacket to your body shape and layering, the drawcord at the hem helps seal the jacket and improve thermal comfort, and hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs can be fitted to wrists or gloves. Side zippers run along the full length of the jacket, making it easier to put on and off and allowing you to regulate ventilation. YKK® zippers operate smoothly, handle dirt well and allow quick opening so you can reach your gear in situations that require an immediate response.

The large helmet-ready hood has three-point adjustment, so it can be fitted over the head alone or over a cap or helmet, and the foam-stiffened brim protects the face from rain and wind without restricting the field of view. The jacket has five functional pockets: shoulder pockets that remain accessible even when wearing a plate carrier, a front pocket whose main compartment features three organizer pockets with an additional small pocket above it for items such as a compass, and a pass-through pocket beneath the main compartment, secured with two zippers (one on each side), for warming your hands or carrying gloves and small items. Hook-and-loop panels on the shoulders allow for personalization.
