The Helikon-Tex Wolfhound Hoodie Jacket – Field (NIR/IRR) is a compact, warm and lightweight hooded jacket with NIR/IRR functionality that effectively masks the wearer in night vision.

Field products in PL Woodland camouflage provide NIR (Near Infrared) functionality, also referred to as IRR (Infrared Reflective). The materials used help reduce the contrast of the wearer's silhouette when viewed through devices operating in the near-infrared spectrum. All visible fabrics and components are selected to absorb, reflect and transmit radiation in a way that closely resembles the natural environment, woodland terrain. Each material is tested under both laboratory and field conditions using a spectrophotometer and analog night-vision devices.

Climashield® Apex™ insulation keeps you warm even when wet. Unlike down, synthetic fibre insulation retains warmth even when wet and does not clump. The jacket can be machine-washed. The 67 g/m² insulation is lightweight, efficient, breathable and compressible.

Windpack® Nylon is a lightweight, fast-drying fabric that protects against the chilling effect of wind, improving thermal comfort during stops and low-intensity movement. The outer layer is protected by a hydrophobic coating that increases resistance to dirt and moisture penetration. Elastic VersaStretch panels under the arms increase mobility during dynamic activities, and the jacket stays in place and does not restrict natural body movement.

Elastic binding at the cuffs and hem helps seal the entire construction against wind. The ergonomic, adjustable hood with elastic binding protects your head from wind and light rain. The two-way main zipper allows easy access to belt-mounted equipment and improves ventilation. Four pockets are secured with durable YKK® zippers, protecting the contents on the move and at rest: the side pockets stay accessible when wearing a backpack with a hip belt, the internal pocket holds documents, a wallet or more sensitive accessories, and the chest pocket suits a phone, small notebook or map. Hook-and-loop panels on the shoulders allow for personalization.
