Helikon-Tex Wolfhound Jacket - Field (NIR/IRR) - PL Woodland

The Helikon-Tex Wolfhound Jacket – Field (NIR/IRR) is a lightweight, warm and compact jacket with an NIR/IRR feature that provides effective camouflage under night vision.

Field products in PL Woodland camouflage provide NIR (Near Infrared) functionality, also referred to as IRR (Infrared Reflective). The materials used help reduce the contrast of the wearer's silhouette when viewed through devices operating in the near-infrared spectrum. All visible fabrics and components are selected to absorb, reflect and transmit radiation in a way that closely resembles the natural environment, woodland terrain. Each material is tested under both laboratory and field conditions using a spectrophotometer and analog night-vision devices.

Climashield® Apex™ insulation keeps you warm even when wet. Unlike down, synthetic fibre insulation retains warmth when wet and does not clump. The jacket can be machine-washed. The 67 g/m² insulation is lightweight, efficient, breathable and compressible.

Windpack® Nylon is a lightweight, fast-drying fabric that protects against the chilling effect of wind. The outer layer is protected by a hydrophobic coating that increases resistance to dirt and moisture penetration. Elastic VersaStretch panels under the arms increase mobility during dynamic activities, and the jacket stays in place without restricting movement.

Elastic VersaStretch cuffs and hem drawcords help seal the jacket and reduce wind penetration. A soft fleece lining on the inside of the collar increases comfort and prevents chafing. A hook-and-loop panel on the sleeve lets you personalize the jacket with a flag, unit insignia or morale patch. Four pockets secured with durable YKK® zippers protect the contents on the move and at rest: the side pockets stay accessible when wearing a backpack with a hip belt, the internal pocket holds documents or a wallet, and the chest pocket suits a phone, small notebook or map.
