The Jetboil Genesis Basecamp is an all-in-one cooking system made for situations when you can't settle for the "one burner and a bag of food" mentality in the wilderness, but want to really cook properly. This two-burner basecamp cooking set packs neatly into a small carrying case and can be easily carried in a car, boat, cabin or on a longer camp. When you need to make coffee, warm food and even proper roasts at the same time, Genesis is the set that makes the job really easy, fast and neat. The orange color looks nice at the campsite and doesn't get lost among other gear.

The entire system runs on normal camping stove gas, and uses piezo ignition, so starting is possible without having to make a separate fire or constantly adjust it with a lighter. Two efficient burners provide decent heat for both quick boiling of water and more moderate cooking, and the four-full-turn flame adjustment makes it surprisingly controlled even when you want to simmer and not just burn to the bottom. The included 5-liter FluxRing pot is designed to save gas and recover heat efficiently, and the 25 cm ceramic-coated frying pan takes care of frying safkas without having to go looking for separate pots and pans.

The Genesis is also clever in that it can either function as a standalone two-burner stove or can be expanded with JetLink-compatible add-ons to build a larger camp kitchen from a single fuel source. The included windscreen improves performance in all weather conditions and the regulator helps keep performance consistent even in cooler conditions, which is reflected in the fact that cooking doesn't become jerky and nerve-wracking as soon as the weather is not perfect. With a power of 2 x 10,000 BTU (total of about 3 kW), this set boils 1 liter of water in a 5 liter FluxRing pot in about 3 minutes 15 seconds, and the efficiency is such that up to about 30 liters of water can be boiled with 450 g of Jetpower gas.
