Ka-Bar Dust I knife - Clip Point - D2 - Green

The KA-BAR Dust I 6100 is a sturdy and straightforward fixed blade knife designed to withstand heavy use without unnecessary extras. Its good balance and ergonomic design are immediately felt in the hand, and the roughened surface of the handle provides a secure grip even in wet conditions. The Dust I is designed as a multi-purpose tool that is both lightweight and very durable. The included plastic sheath is MOLLE compatible and offers flexible carrying options.

The knife's 15.7 cm long blade is made of D2 tool steel, which has been used in durable tools since World War II. D2 is known for its hardness, excellent wear resistance and the fact that it retains its sharpness for a long time. Since D2 is not completely stainless, it is recommended to dry the knife after use and protect it with oil. The blade has a blackwashed finish, where the coated blade has been treated with a darkening process. This gives the blade a used, patinated look and effectively hides signs of use.

The Clip Point blade profile is combined with a Scandinavian-inspired flat grind, making the knife versatile for both delicate carving and heavier work. The handle design is based on the classic KA-BAR 1217 USMC knife, but it has been brought to this model in a modernized version. The GFN nylon handle in a green tone offers a firm grip, and its design has been designed with both comfort and safety in mind. The handle has a strong spike that can be used, for example, to break glass in an emergency.

A plastic sheath with a drainage hole is included and can be attached to the MOLLE system. The sheath is reversible and can be attached in either direction. It is attached with two polymer straps and snaps, so the sheath stays securely in place.
