The LOWA Ranger GTX is designed for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts who value durability, comfort and performance. This mid-height hiking boot is made almost entirely from a single piece of 100% nubuck leather, making it extremely durable and long-lasting. The nubuck leather gives the shoe a velvety look and offers good breathability and abrasion resistance.

The inside of the shoe features a GORE-TEX lining that keeps feet dry in wet and cold conditions while ensuring optimal breathability. The C4 tongue adds comfort and reduces pressure on the foot, while the X-LACING® system keeps the tongue firmly in place, preventing it from moving around.

Base structure and stability

The Ranger GTX is equipped with a VIBRAM® APPTRAIL DIVO outsole, which provides excellent traction and durability even on difficult terrain. The sole has a modern, self-cleaning profile and a pronounced heel, which improves stability, especially on downhill slopes. The sole consists of two PU layers of different hardness:

Softer layer under the heel: Provides excellent shock absorption.
Harder layer: Increases stability and support on long hikes.

In addition, the slightly curved shape of the sole improves rolling properties, making walking more natural and comfortable.

LOWA Size Chart

LOWA calculates shoe sizes with an additional length of 15 mm, or so-called walking allowance (12 mm for children). This has already been taken into account in the information below.

Individual foot shapes and personal fit preferences may differ from these recommendations. The normal last of the shoe is generally very suitable for the Finnish foot, but of course there are exceptions and for this reason we also have wide last shoes in our selection.

The foot length (mm) is a LOWA recommendation based on scientific observations and long-term experience.

Measure your own foot length:

Step on the paper and place both the head and heel of the paper against the wall.
Draw a line in front of the outermost toe.
Measure the distance of the line from the end of the paper.
