The Magpul Explorer is a casual sunglass model that combines high performance with style. The same lens and frame construction and materials as our ballistically rated models provide extreme durability and flexibility in a lighter package that you can wear anywhere. Although Explorer glasses do not have a Z87.1 rating due to their shape, the lenses and frames are designed to the same ballistic impact protection standards as our other sunglasses. The lenses offer high impact protection and the frames are made of TR90 material, which combines lightness with reliable ballistic protection. An oleophobic treatment on the lenses protects against liquids and chemicals and prevents scratching. Anti-reflective coating on the inside of the lenses reduces distracting reflections. Coated stainless steel hinges provide simple but reliable functionality.

Padded, low-profile temples integrate seamlessly under helmets, headphones, and hearing protection.

The frames and lenses are suitable for medium-sized faces.
