Top quality Maple Leaf 2021 Super Macaron Silicone AEG recoil pad for electric (AEG) airsoft guns. This recoil pad is suitable for use with AEG compatible barrels and recoil units as well as 'open cut/bridgeless' GBB/VSR barrels and AEG recoil units (e.g. Silverback SRS sniper rifle).

The Maple Leaf 2021 Super Macaron Silicone AEG is an updated version of the already excellent Super Macaron. The rubber material has been changed to a silicone-based material, which improves the performance of the rubber in various temperatures. The benefits are especially evident in cool or cold weather, as the silicone retains its elasticity (and therefore its spin-giving properties) even in cold weather.

Macaron vs Super Macaron

The Super Macaron is an updated version of the popular Macaron recoil pad. It can be used with a traditional AEG barrel or a bridgeless GBB/VSR barrel in conjunction with an AEG recoil pad. The Super Macaron's feed lips are reinforced, sealed, and shorter than the traditional Macaron, which reduces the potential for bullet feed problems that can occur with the traditional Macaron recoil pad when used with certain recoil pads. In addition, the recoil pad and the protruding ridges (sealing rings) on the outside of the rubber have been redesigned.

The Maple Leaf Super Macaron rubber features a long and curved (slightly V-shaped) rubber tip, which is in line with the current trend, which improves ball contact with the rubber, giving the balls a smoother trajectory between shots, as well as improving the ball's accuracy and range. The protruding ridges on the outside of the rubber improve air tightness.

The package does not include a hop stamper. Due to Maple Leaf's optimized nub, it is recommended to use Maple Leaf's own flat-model (hollow or solid) curved stamper.

In our own experience, our recommendations are towards 60 hardness rubber for normal outdoor weapons, i.e. up to 1.7J. The weather in Finland is more merciless (colder) even in the summer. Softer rubber plays better.
