The HALO chest seal is intended for the treatment of open chest injuries and the prevention of chest compressions. It is designed to function despite heavy bleeding, extreme wetness, cold or hot conditions (from zero to 60 °C). The highly aggressive adhesive hydrogel allows the dressing to adhere and bond to the patient's chest with extreme strength and tightness. The HALO chest seal meets all TCCC criteria and recommendations.
