Mil-Tec Harrington Jacket with Hood - Black

The Mil-Tec Harrington Jacket with Hood is a casual jacket inspired by the classic British Harrington style, updated with a hood for a more relaxed look. The black outer fabric is paired with a traditional red check lining, which also continues inside the hood.

The history of the Harrington jacket goes back to Britain in the 1930s and the Baracuta G9. Originally developed in Manchester as a short golf jacket, the G9 later became a British style classic. The name Harrington became established in the 1960s after the character Rodney Harrington in the television series Peyton Place was frequently seen wearing a G9-style jacket.

Over the following decades, the Harrington became particularly associated with British mod, ska and punk culture, while also remaining a popular everyday jacket. Its short cut, front zipper, ribbed cuffs and hem, and check lining became some of the best-known characteristics of the style.

Mil-Tec's version takes inspiration from this traditional design but adds a hood for a more casual appearance. The jacket features a full-length front zipper, two side pockets with flaps and button closures, an inside pocket, and knitted ribbing at the cuffs and hem.
