The Morakniv Lightweight Axe is a compact and well-balanced tool designed for outdoor use where portability and versatility matter. It is well suited for camping, hiking, boating, and general field tasks, offering reliable performance without unnecessary weight.

The axe features a slightly curved blade profile that improves control when making kindling. This shape allows for a more natural wrist motion, making it easier to produce feather sticks and process small firewood efficiently. It is best suited for working with wood up to approximately 25 cm in length.

The head is made from hardened boron steel with a black ED coating that improves corrosion resistance and adds durability. The edge holds its sharpness well and can be easily resharpened when needed, making it a practical choice for regular use in the field.

The handle is constructed from reinforced polypropylene, providing a durable yet lightweight structure. The axe head is securely integrated into the handle with an extended mounting design, resulting in a solid and reliable construction for normal use. The ergonomic shape ensures a secure grip and controlled handling, even in wet or cold conditions.

A leather edge protection is included to protect both the blade and surrounding gear during transport. Thanks to its compact size, the axe is easy to carry in a backpack, vehicle, or boat.
