The Oakley SI Flak 2.0 XL is a semi-open sunglass that is larger than the standard Flak. The larger lenses give a wider field of view and better protection from wind and dust. The glasses are made of lightweight, impact-resistant polymer, and the temples and nose pads have hydrophilic inserts that keep the grip when the skin gets damp. They can be worn with headwear.

The photochromic lenses darken in sunlight and stay clear indoors, so there is no need to swap lenses when the light changes. The semi-open frame lets air circulate, which helps keep the lenses from fogging. The lenses are optical polycarbonate (base curve 8.75) and eliminate distortion across the entire field of view. They filter 100% of UVA, UVB and UVC radiation up to 400 nm.
