The Oakley SI Gibston is a deeply curved sunglass with a lightweight polymer frame. The frame fits snugly against the face and protects the eyes from sunlight and debris coming in from the sides. The low-density polymer keeps the weight down, so the glasses are comfortable during extended wear. The temples are designed to be worn with headwear.

The optical polycarbonate lenses eliminate distortion across the entire field of view. The Prizm Black lens enhances colors and increases contrast, making details easier to see against a uniform background. Light transmission is 11%, suited to bright sunlight. The lenses block 100% of UVA and UVB radiation up to 400 nm.
