The British Army SA80 Magazine Pouch is a simple but highly functional surplus pouch for one rifle magazine. The pouch was originally designed for the SA80/STANAG magazine, but in practice it is also suitable for AK-type magazines.
The magazine is held securely in place by an adjustable rubber band. The snap-button fastening on the rubber band allows for quick adjustment, and the integrated puller makes it easy to release the magazine, even when wearing gloves.
The back of the pocket features two reinforced attachment straps with Pull Dot snaps, ensuring secure attachment to MOLLE/PALS compatible equipment. A drainage hole at the bottom prevents water from accumulating in the pocket.
This is a practically tested and reliable solution that works excellently in exercises, equipment use, and reserve operations.
