The Schrade Bedrock 1182499 is a lightweight yet sturdy camping axe designed for hiking, camping, and light construction work in the wild. The Bedrock series draws inspiration from tradition, but updated materials and a rugged, uncomplicated design make this axe a reliable companion for today's wilderness hunter.
This compact hiking axe is made from durable 3Cr13MoV stainless steel, with the top of the handle also functioning as a lightweight hammer. The axe handle is covered with a rubbery overmold coating that provides excellent grip and comfort – even in wet or cold conditions.
Versatile and easy to use
With a compact 11.75” (approx. 30 cm) overall length, the Bedrock is an excellent choice as a camping axe. It fits easily into a backpack or can be attached to the included 1680D polyester sheath, which has a belt loop and grommets for lanyard attachment. The lightly stonewashed finish makes the steel look clean and durable.
