Shooters Global SG Timer 2 is the manufacturer's advanced shot timer for demanding shooting practice, instruction and competition use. It is designed to accurately measure total performance time, individual shot times and splits while providing a broader range of training and analysis functions than a conventional timing device. It is especially well suited for practical shooting, IPSC, SRA and other performance-oriented range training as well as dry fire practice.
The SG Timer 2 Smart Sensor can detect a wide range of shot sounds, from AEG and CO2 guns to firearms of virtually any calibre, including suppressed firearms. Sensor sensitivity is adjustable from 1 to 100, while presets make it easier to select suitable settings for different training environments. Built-in echo filtering helps isolate the shooter's own shots from surrounding gunfire, including on indoor public ranges.
Built-in memory can store and display statistics for up to 1,000,000 shots. PAR functionality supports pre-planned drills, while Spy Mode allows SG Timer 2 to synchronise with other shot timers. For dry fire practice, the timer can detect the sound of the trigger pull and supports programmable and saved dry fire sessions.
Clear display and full on-device control
SG Timer 2 features a front-mounted 172 PPI display. A reflective lower layer uses ambient sunlight to improve contrast and reduce power consumption during the day, while a light sensor automatically activates the backlight in darker conditions. The interface is designed for one-handed operation, with full control available directly from the timer.
A dedicated Range Officer Mode simplifies operation for competition and match staff. Maximum buzzer volume is 110 dB, making SG Timer 2 significantly louder than the SG Timer GO and particularly suitable for training larger groups.
Drills app, Bluetooth and NFC
Bluetooth connectivity allows the SG Timer 2 to connect to the Shooters Global Drills app. The app can be used to record training sessions, capture video with shot data, follow progress, control the timer remotely and compare results. SG Timer 2 is also compatible with PractiScore 2 and IPSC ESS.
The timer supports Garmin and Apple Watch smartwatches as well as compatible Bluetooth hearing protection through the Drills app. Manufacturer-stated Bluetooth range is up to approximately 260 ft / 79 m. NFC Connect provides an additional convenient connection option.
U-Grip and extended battery life
SG Timer 2 comes with the U-Grip mounting system. U-Grip combines strong magnets with a mechanical connection, allowing fast attachment while providing improved resistance against side impacts. The belt clip can also be transferred from the U-Grip directly to the timer body.
The built-in rechargeable battery provides up to approximately 7000 training sessions on a single charge according to the manufacturer. Charging is available via USB-C or a compatible wireless charger. The housing is water resistant and designed for regular live fire and dry fire training.
