The Sordin Supreme T2 is a tactical active hearing protector and communications headset for military, law enforcement and shooting use. It compresses dangerous noise and shot impulses while amplifying harmless ambient sound naturally. Speech, commands and movement can be heard and located without taking the protectors off. Sound returns to normal instantly after a shot, and speaker output is limited to 82 dB(A).
The SordinHEAR2 audio system has four profiles. Tactical is the general profile that balances situational awareness and comfort. Comfort reduces gain in noisy environments when communication matters more than ambient sound. Dual offers high gain and a wide frequency range for quiet environments or for use with earplugs. Ambient off turns ambient sound off for passive protection only. Profile changes and low battery (10%) are confirmed by voice feedback.
Two AUX inputs connect a radio or other communication device. Failsafe loudspeakers keep radio traffic audible even when the battery is out. The optional T2 Flex Com CC boom microphone fits either cup, and PTT devices are available separately. The headset is immersion tested at 2 metres for 35 minutes and salt water tested. The ambient microphones are waterproof and the electronics are coated in multiple layers.
The Supreme T2 is built on the SordinFLEX platform. The suspension can be changed without tools, so the same cups work with a headband (leather or textile), a neckband, and ARC or Rear ARC helmet rails. The slim cups suit both left- and right-handed shooters and eyeglass wearers. Memory foam cushions are standard, and gel cushions are available as an accessory.
