Specna Arms MG42 Retro X-ASR/Tracer AEG Machine Gun

The MG42 is one of the most iconic machine guns ever produced. Used extensively by German forces during the Second World War, it earned the nickname "Hitler's Buzzsaw" among Allied soldiers due to its exceptionally high rate of fire. Capable of firing approximately 1,200 rounds per minute, it delivered devastating suppressive fire and became one of the most feared support weapons of its era. At the same time, it was engineered to be as simple and cost-effective to manufacture as possible, allowing for efficient mass production.

The Specna Arms MG42 Retro is a faithful electric airsoft replica of the legendary machine gun, purpose-built for the support gunner role. Its long barrel, high-capacity drum magazine and sturdy bipod make it an excellent choice for providing sustained suppressive fire and controlling large areas of the battlefield.

The replica is constructed primarily from aluminium, steel, polymer and wood. The outer barrel, barrel shroud, receiver and flash hider are made from aluminium, while steel is used for components such as the magazine, bipod, pins, screws and numerous other external parts, providing excellent durability and a realistic feel. The wooden stock and pistol grip panels complete the authentic appearance.

The included tracer unit illuminates tracer BBs and simulates muzzle flash, adding an impressive visual effect, especially during low-light and night games. The tracer is rechargeable via the included USB-C charging cable.

Internally, the replica features a special gearbox, GATE X-ASR MOSFET and a Quick Spring Change system. The MOSFET protects the electrical system, improves trigger response and extends the service life of both the battery and internal electronics. Integrated LED diagnostics also make it easier to identify basic electrical faults.

The included 2,500-round drum magazine provides ample ammunition for sustained fire support. A muzzle velocity of approximately 113 m/s (370 FPS with 0.20 g BBs) makes the replica suitable for most airsoft fields, while its authentic construction makes it an excellent choice for historical-themed airsoft games.
