The Specna Arms SA-C12 CORE™ HAL ETU Gen.2 is a modern, short-barreled M4-style SMG that combines a lightweight construction, upgraded internals, and programmable features. This Gen.2 model offers a ready-to-use package that is suitable for both beginners and experienced players – especially in CQB environments, where compact size and quick handling are key advantages.

The gun has a nylon fiber reinforced polymer frame with a unique serial number. The outer barrel, forend, flame arrester, charging handle and sling loop are metal, while steel is used for critical parts such as buttons, screws, cartridge port and dummy bolt. The construction is lighter than full metal models, but tough and durable.

Inside, you’ll find a reinforced Aether™ Ver.2 gearbox with ESA™ quick spring change system, which allows you to change the spring without opening the gearbox. In addition, the weapon features a 6.03 mm precision barrel, Magnus™ TDC Hop-Up chamber and Helium™ Flat Hop rubber for improved range and repeatability. The HAL ETU™ unit brings programmable fire modes and precise trigger detection, which enhances usability and trigger feel.

Aether™ gearbox and internals

The Aether™ gearbox is designed as the heart of the Specna Arms EDGE Gen.2 series, offering exceptional durability and versatile features. The gearbox body is reinforced to withstand heavy use and high spring forces. This ensures reliability over long periods of use. The gearbox is designed with inspection windows that allow you to easily check the Angle of Engagement (AOE) adjustments and pre-tension without having to disassemble the entire system. The gearbox’s precise screw holes ensure proper alignment and balance of the parts, which improves service life and reliability. The gearbox is equipped with 8mm J-cage ball bearings (in the motor and piston gears) and 8mm plain bearings (in the sun gear), which ensure smooth and efficient operation at high rotational speeds. The anti-reversal release hole allows for easy spring release, preventing tension on the parts and preventing damage. The trigger tension adjustment screw allows for precise adjustment of trigger sensitivity, providing the player with optimal feel and response. The ESA™ quick spring change makes it easy to change power to suit venue output limitations without having to disassemble the gearbox.

The Specna Arms HAL Electronic Trigger Unit (HAL ETU™) offers advanced trigger sensing and programmable fire modes. Magnetic sensors and Hall effect enable extremely fast and accurate firing, and settings can be changed directly at the trigger without additional equipment.
