Specna Arms VAPOR CO2 Grenade Starter Set

The Specna Arms VAPOR™ CO2 Grenade Starter Set is a reusable sound effect grenade system that operates on a 12g CO2 capsule.

The gas-operated system is fire-safe compared to powder-operated solutions, and the grenade shell is constructed to burst in a controlled manner upon firing. The shells are capable of withstanding normal throwing, but are disposable in use. The firing mechanism and CO2 capsule cylinder are reusable, and replacement shells are available separately.

The grenade's operating principle is straightforward. The firing mechanism is screwed into the top of the shell and the CO2 capsule is installed in the cylinder. When the safety pin is removed and the grenade is thrown, the safety rod (“spoon”) releases the striker, which punctures the CO2 capsule. The gas expands inside the shell and as the pressure builds up, the shell ruptures, producing a loud sound effect. The delay is typically about 3–5 seconds, but the pressure build-up can vary depending on the circumstances. If desired, powder can be added inside the shell to enhance the visual effect.

NOTE! The sound effect is loud, up to approximately 130 dB. Especially when used indoors, adequate hearing protection must be ensured for both the user and those in close proximity.
