Spyderco Ceramic Benchstone – Medium

The Spyderco Ceramic Benchstone – Medium is a high-quality sharpening stone that delivers top-notch performance for both knife and tool maintenance – without the need for oil or water. This medium-grained stone is made from ultra-hard alumina ceramic (synthetic sapphire) with a Mohs hardness of 9.2 – almost as hard as diamond.

Benchstone works like a traditional sharpening stone, but its hardness ensures that it will not develop grooves even after prolonged use. It is excellent for sharpening tools and knives, and thanks to its hardness, it can also sharpen hard steels with ease.

The stone's wide and flat 2" x 8" (5.1 cm x 20.3 cm) surface provides a stable platform for precise and controlled sharpening. The Spyderco Ceramic Benchstone requires no lubricants – no oil, no water – making it both a clean and maintenance-free choice.

The sharpening stone is delivered in a dark blue polymer case with non-slip rubber feet. The cover also acts as a holder during sharpening, adding stability and comfort.

The stone can be easily cleaned with liquid abrasive cleaners, a sponge or a Lansky cleaning rubber, for example. It is also dishwasher and autoclave safe, making it a very hygienic option.
