A field suit made from a cut of the US Army ACU (Army Combat Uniform).

The ACU combat suit is comfortable to wear and features cleverly designed: for example, the pockets are slanted and the cut is precise so that the suit doesn't catch or get in the way. There are bellows on the sides of the upper back so that the arms can be swung freely and pushed forward, for example when driving vehicles.

The jacket is short and good-looking. It has a stand-up collar, two slanted chest pockets, spacious sleeves and large sleeve pockets. There are no hem pockets at all and the jacket can also be tucked into trousers if necessary. The jacket closes with a zipper, which is covered by a flap with Velcro. There are Velcro places on the chest for a name tag and a rank badge, while the sleeve pockets have a large amount of Velcro space for other badges or, for example, a Velcro-based emergency light (V-Lite). To protect your elbows, you can put cut-to-size pieces of foam plastic in the pockets on the jacket.

The trousers have two side pockets, two back pockets, large thigh pockets and smaller pockets on the sides of the calves. The thigh pockets have pleats, which allows them to hold a huge amount of stuff. The pocket openings can be tightened with an elastic band, which prevents stuff from falling out of the pockets. The pockets close with a large, diagonal Velcro flap, which can be operated even from a sitting position. The back pocket flaps have a traditional button closure.
