US Army BDU field uniform pants made of full cotton ripstop reinforced fabric. 3-color desert pattern.
The BDU, Battle Dress Uniform, is a field uniform that the US Army adopted in 1983. It was developed from the jungle uniform of the Vietnam War into a general field uniform for all-purpose use in warm weather, and for civilian use it is still one of the best options for field uniforms in the summer. It or the pants/jacket separately are also very suitable for everyday use as casual clothing.
The pockets in the trousers are two large thigh pockets, two back pockets and two side pockets. Except for the side pockets, the pockets are button-fastened and have protective flaps. The trousers have large double pockets in the areas of greatest wear, i.e. the knees and the back. These and the durable material make the trousers long-lasting. There are tightening straps at the leg openings, so the trousers stay inside the shoes without external aids. The waist size can also be adjusted with two loops.
