The US M-1944 General purpose carrying strap, introduced by the US Army in 1944, is suitable for a variety of carrying needs. It can be used to carry a gun, a bag, or even an ammunition box. The strap model is still in use today in nylon.

During and after the Vietnam War, soldiers have made this webbing into gun belts by adding paracord loops to the ends of the webbing, often first removing the metal hooks (see example image).

  • The strap is approximately 5 cm wide, with plenty of adjustment.
  • There are metal hooks at each end of the strap
  • The strap fits most US military bags and backpacks, and is suitable for various weapons and ammo boxes.
  • Maximum strap length approximately 108 cm.

    Used, genuine military equipment. This lot is like new.
