The 1x magnification and large 30 mm objective lens provide a wide field of view and help with fast target acquisition. The 3 MOA red dot offers sufficient precision for distances of approximately 5–100 meters while remaining clearly visible for rapid close-range shooting. The parallax-free design allows shooting with both eyes open, making the sight intuitive to use on rifle and carbine platforms.

The Nautilus GEN II features an automatic light sensor that adjusts the brightness of the dot based on ambient lighting conditions. In addition, 11 manual brightness settings are available.
