Sorbotane is a special material developed to absorb shock and vibration, patented and manufactured in the USA. It is excellent for use as a shock pad for pistons in electric or spring-operated airsoft replica guns. Sorbotane improves the life of gearbox shells and at the same time offers a way to make the gun quieter.

SorboPad is manufactured in four different hardnesses.

40 Duro - Max for M110 spring

50 Duro - Max for M120 spring

60 Duro - Max for M130 spring

70 Duro - Max for M140 spring

In weapons with a high rate of fire and a large bullet capacity (e.g. machine guns), it is recommended to use springs one level weaker than the above list (e.g. M120 spring 60D SorboPad) or alternatively a SorboPad one level harder. In weapons that fire repeatedly (e.g. DMR rifles), a spring one level harder can be used.
