AOE & Dampening Pads
AOE and dampening pads are gearbox components used in electric airsoft guns to adjust the Angle of Engagement (AOE) and absorb the impact of the piston.
The Angle of Engagement refers to the angle at which the sector gear first engages the piston teeth. If this angle is incorrect, stress is unevenly distributed and can lead to premature wear or failure of the piston and other gearbox parts.
